Entry forms must be handed, faxed or e-mailed to Ronel Vermaak only on or before the closing date and must preferably be accompanied with payment. Electronic transfers are also accepted, Vaal Triangle Squash Association, Acc No: 1748369849, Nedbank Vdbp, Branch Code 174837. Proof of payment must then accompany the registration form. Payment will also be accepted by latest on the evening when the tournament starts. Payment arrangements can be made, but must be made with the treasurer (Ian Trusler 083 787 4594 e-mail: itrusler@groupfive.co.za ) prior to the start of the tournament. Any other entries must be paid up by the start of the tournament. If you have entered and not paid or have not made arrangements, you will not be allowed to play and your name will be removed from the draw. By signing this entry form you are bound by the rules, you are obliged to pay and no refunds will be given. Remember; by e-mailing your unsigned entry is also an electronic acknowledgement of your entry into this tournament.
The championship will be based on the Swiss pairing system.
There will be an A & B division for the men, where we encourage the junior or school learners to enter, and a separate division for the ladies.
It is compulsory for players entering the 2011 championship to have attended and passed the Marking and Refereeing course held on 26 February 2011.
The current ladder will be the basis for seeding, although the organizer’s reserve the right to make adjustments based on current form.
Conduct unbecoming, withdrawal or not playing games by any player will be taken into account when selecting provincial teams and may result in disciplinary measures.
VERY IMPORTANT!!! Any player, who does not arrive for a scheduled match in set time and without prior arrangement with the organizer and the opponent, will not have the opportunity to play that game, will score “0” and opponent will take that number. Player will also be suspended for the first 5 league matches of the season or subject to the Vaal Triangle Squash Committee’s discretion.
Play will commence on Monday, 7th of March 2011 and will end on Saturday, 19st of March 2011. Players requiring additional info please contact the organizer/s. The final draw sheets will be displayed at the ArcelorMittal Squash Centre from the 5th of March 2011 as well as on the web. Please contact Ronel Vermaak from 13:00 on Saturday, 5th of March for your game time on Monday.
Please take note that we will be playing point a rally (Single American) up to 15. On 14 all play continues until winner leads by 2 points.
